Lewis Craig 2015 Property Chef Runners Up

22/06/2015 by Theo Benedyk

Our would be chefs, Ben Pistol and Theo Benedyk, narrowly missed out on victory at the DCL and Estates Gazette’s 17th annual cooking competition, held at Covent Garden’s Flesh & Buns restaurant. Having seen off competition from the leisure industry’s finest, our boys went head to head with Colliers Leisure team, in the final cook-off, making Flesh & Buns signature salmon teriyaki dish.

The contest put the teams through their paces in three heats – cocktail making, cooking and a quiz. A great time was had by all and although our best ever finish in this competition, a thorough review is yet to be held back at Wigmore Street to ensure that Lewis Craig take home top honours next year!

15/06/2015 by Theo Benedyk

Nando’s, have opened their fifth restaurant in Milton Keynes. The unit, comprising some 4,000 sq ft, is located at MK1 the new fashion and leisure park located alongside the Milton Keynes Dons stadium. Lewis Craig represented Nando’s in the acquisition process.

MK 1 has an impressive line-up, with occupiers on the leisure side including Pizza Express, TGI Friday’s, Frankie & Benny’s, Prezzo and Chimichanga as well as a state of the art 11 screen Odeon Cinema. The fashion element of the development houses brands including Marks & Spencer, Primark, River Island, H&M and Outfit.

The MK1 development adds to existing operators established in and around MK Stadium, including DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, with IKEA and an Asda Supercentre located closeby.

With MK Dons enjoying success and shortly to make their debut in the Championship (second tier of English Football) for the 2015-16 season, crowd attendances are set to increase, which has to be good news for Nando’s! In addtion, October should be a good month with the stadium hosting several Rugby World Cup 2015 matches.
