Liverpool Flagship for Trailfinders

29/06/2012 by Theo Benedyk

Trailfinders new Liverpool Travel Centre is now open for business, located in the retail heart of the city at 36 Whitechapel, directly opposite the exclusive Metquarter shopping centre.

The stunning property, purchased freehold by our client, has dual frontages to Whitechapel and Williamson Street and extends to 8,200 sq ft arranged over ground, first and second floors. The property was previously occupied by Liverpool City Council as a showcase to welcome tourists for the 2008 capital of culture year.

Trailfinders have divided the ground floor to provide an exceptionally well fitted 2,400 sq ft travel centre, along with an attractive new self-contained retail unit created of some 900 sq ft fronting Williamson Street where we are now seeking a suitable retail tenant.

The self-contained first and second floor office space, comprising 4,900 sq ft, fitted to a high standard is being marketed through Robin Evans of Matthews & Goodman.

Lewis Craig, property advisers to Trailfinders, negotiated the freehold acquisition, involving a simultaneous surrender of the lease between Liverpool City Council and the previous owners of the property.

Our Journey with Trailfinders

16/07/2010 by Richard Grossman

The journey began in the Summer of 1993, with our first instruction being to identify and negotiate for suitable premises in Bristol. We secured on their behalf the former banking premises at 48 Corn Street and since that time have been involved in three rounds of rent review negotiations at 5 yearly intervals with the same landlords.

Bristol was soon followed by instructions to secure premises offering representation on a nationwide basis, in cities including Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Belfast, Leeds, Canterbury, Cambridge, Oxford, Norwich and Brighton, together with further London representation in Kensington High Street, Threadneedle Street in the City of London and Canary Wharf.

We have purchased the freeholds of several of these properties on our client’s behalf and for the balance of the portfolio have acted on their various rent review and lease renewal negotiations.

Founded in 1970 by former SAS officer Mike Gooley operating from an office in Earls Court Road with a staff of 4, the company to this day remains privately owned and currently operates from 25 travel centres with over 1100 members of staff and has sent over 11 million clients to worldwide destinations.

We are proud to be Trailfinders property advisers. Our journey together continues as we currently seek representation in a select number of cities, with freehold opportunities being of particular interest. For further information contact Richard Grossman.
