A First Class Destination for Trailfinders

26/04/2011 by Richard Grossman

Our clients Trailfinders have commenced operating from their new Conduit Street premises, located a few doors from Regent Street in the heart of London’s West End.

The premises, formerly occupied by Egypt Air are arranged over ground, mezzanine and basement floors and comprise some 2,300 sq ft.

Trailfinders have fitted out the premises to an exceptionally high standard, with great attention to detail, as can be expected from the UK’s largest independent travel company.

Lewis Craig, property advisers to Trailfinders, acted in the negotiating process successfully securing a new 15 year lease from Threadneedle Property Investments, in the face of some serious competition for the premises.

Contact Richard Grossman for further information on Trailfinders continuing requirements.

A Little Je Nais Se Quoi For Westbourne Grove

19/01/2011 by Richard Grossman

Acting on behalf of longstanding clients Sandpiper Securities, Lewis Craig have arranged for a letting of attractive double fronted retail premises at 77/79 Westbourne Grove, London W2 to Apanam Limited trading as Belleville.

Owned and operated by Edwige Jacquemin and Herve Vincent, Belleville opened in December and features a stylish deli serving French specialities, together with retail space and gallery area alongside. The products, all French, are carefully chosen, wide ranging and very individual, from speciality deli products to interesting furniture items, antique jewellery, candles, perfumes and soaps.

“The idea behind the design”, says Herve Vincent, “was to create the feeling of a French apartment, with a reception room, a kitchen and dining room and a bedroom with a kids section. The choice of items and products all have to fit into this concept and are presented accordingly.”

Theo Benedyk says “Belleville has its own distinct and unique identity with some very individual products and I am certain that Edwige and Herve will enjoy huge success.”

Tea Time for Covent Garden

23/12/2010 by Rob Wickenden

Acting on behalf of retained client teapod, Lewis Craig have arranged for the acquisition of retail premises in Covent Garden’s Opera Quarter. Located in Wellington Street, the premises are arranged over ground and basement floors and comprise just over 1,000 sq ft.

This is the third location for teapod, who also operate from Shad Thames, Tower Bridge and from the Fashion and Textile Museum in Bermondsey.

Richard Grossman says “With a distinctive contemporary teahouse offering, teapod have found a clear space in an incredibly crowded Central London café marketplace. During 2011 we will be looking to build on the success achieved to date, seeking suitable opportunities offering from 500 to 1,000 sq ft, in 7 day trading locations in areas such as Borough, Clerkenwell, Islington, Soho, Spitalfields etc.”

Suit 2 Suit find the right fit in Baker Street!

05/10/2010 by Rob Wickenden

Lewis Craig have arranged for a letting of the retail premises at 232 Baker Street, located on the east side of the thoroughfare in the busy parade to the north of Marylebone Road, between Baker Street Underground Station and Regents Park.

Instructed by Redhorn Audio Visual, who have since relocated to Southampton Row, the brief was to secure an early release from their lease obligation held for a term to expire in 2013. This involved a marketing campaign, giving consideration to several parties and putting forward several proposals for a new lease to landlords Transport for London.

A deal was agreed with Suit 2 Suit, who were relocating from their premises at the Portman Square of Baker Street in a building required by their landlords for redevelopment. The clothing retailer took a new 6 year lease from Transport for London, who agreed to a simultaneous surrender of Redhorn’s lease.

Theo Benedeyk says, “There was a good level of demand here from a wide range of specialist independent operators, this being very much in line with our experiences elsewhere in the West End at the current time. We are now instructed to dispose of the adjacent shop on behalf of Zozo Hair Salon”.
