Lewis Craig have been particularly active throughout 2018 shaping the Islington food scene, acquiring for The Skinny Kitchen, and disposals to James Cochran and LL Rena.
On behalf of our client The Skinny Kitchen, we have recently acquired the former ASK restaurant within the renowned Business Design Centre, at 52 Upper Street.
This will be The Skinny Kitchen’s flagship London site, following the recent acquisition by Lewis Craig for them of a prominent corner unit within the new Dickens Yard development in Ealing.
An interesting fact, each year The Skinny Kitchen shake 17,272 scoops of PHD protein, poach 25,544 free range eggs, smash 6,836 avocados, and cook 15,528 sweet potatoes! https://www.skinnykitchen.co.uk/
On the disposal side, we have recently sold the former Chinese Laundry restaurant at 107 Upper Street, to chef James Cochran’s new restaurant venture, 12:51. James rose to fame with his London City restaurant, James Cochran EC3.
His new addition, 12:51, will be more ambitious, with influences from Italy, China, Scandinavia, the Caribbean and the UK, with Kentish ingredients bringing everything together.
James also recently became the South East Winner of BBC’s Great British Menu! https://www.1251.co.uk/
Heading further along Upper Street, on behalf of the Landlord we let the former Gluten Free Bakery, at 167 Upper Street to LL Rena Ibérico Tapas Bar. A venture from the team behind Jamón y Salud, one of Spain’s finest farmers.
Their Ibérico products come from their own Spanish farms, in the region of Extremadura, a western region bordering Portugal. https://www.jamonysalud.co.uk/
