Achille Salvagni Atelier acquires Mayfair flagship

Acting on behalf of Liquidators David Rubin & Partners, Lewis Craig were recently involved with the assignment of the leasehold interest at 12 Grafton Street, Mayfair to Achille Salvagni Atelier. Achille Salvagni, a member of the Italian Order of Registered Architects, and an interior and furniture designer, founded the firm in 2002.

Blüthner Pianos West End Relocation

Blüthner Pianos, represented by Lewis Craig, have opened an impressive new showroom in the heart of the West End, at the landmark 10 Portman Square development situated at the southern end of Baker Street by Portman Square, London W1.

Located alongside Waitrose and Fired Earth, close to Selfridges, the premises comprising some 4,070 sq ft, offer a two level showroom of modern design, featuring additional sound-proofed, air conditioned practice and recording rooms each featuring a grand piano.

A slice of New York from NY Fold

Bringing authentic New York style pizza to London, NY Fold, represented by retained advisers Lewis Craig, have opened their first restaurant at 103 Charing Cross Road, between Soho and Covent Garden.

NY Fold is located in the section of Charing Cross Road between Tottenham Court Road Station and Cambridge Circus, with the double-fronted restaurant offering ground floor space of some 1200 sq ft, plus ancillary basement.

Our would be chefs, Ben Pistol and Theo Benedyk, narrowly missed out on victory at the DCL and Estates Gazette’s 17th annual cooking competition, held at Covent Garden’s Flesh & Buns restaurant. Having seen off competition from the leisure industry’s finest, our boys went head to head with Colliers Leisure team, in the final cook-off, making Flesh & Buns signature salmon teriyaki dish.

The contest put the teams through their paces in three heats – cocktail making, cooking and a quiz. A great time was had by all and although our best ever finish in this competition, a thorough review is yet to be held back at Wigmore Street to ensure that Lewis Craig take home top honours next year!

Lewis Craig acted on the sale of the former Italian restaurant to Yasmeen, who are a high quality Lebanese restaurant. Yasmeen have undertaken a complete refurbishment of the entire space, including their fantastic raised outside terrace overlooking the beautiful suburb of St John’s Wood.

Nando’s at MK1 Leisure Park

Nando’s, have opened their fifth restaurant in Milton Keynes. The unit, comprising some 4,000 sq ft, is located at MK1 the new fashion and leisure park located alongside the Milton Keynes Dons stadium. Lewis Craig represented Nando’s in the acquisition process.

MK 1 has an impressive line-up, with occupiers on the leisure side including Pizza Express, TGI Friday’s, Frankie & Benny’s, Prezzo and Chimichanga as well as a state of the art 11 screen Odeon Cinema. The fashion element of the development houses brands including Marks & Spencer, Primark, River Island, H&M and Outfit.

The MK1 development adds to existing operators established in and around MK Stadium, including DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, with IKEA and an Asda Supercentre located closeby.

INITO In To Spitalfields

Acting on behalf of Malletti Pizzeria, Lewis Craig have successfully disposed of the lease at 31 Bell Lane E1, being part of the Prodigy-Living Spitalfields development, to Indian urban street food operator INITO.

A high level of interest was received for the premises from a wide range of restaurant operators both niche and established names. INITO bring further cuisine diversity to the development, complementing existing operators Pizza Union and Japanese Canteen.

The Terrace Eatery – Ready to Expand

Lewis Craig have been retained by The Terrace Eatery to seek new locations. As one of the most popular breakfast and lunch destinations in Kingston Upon Thames, The Terrace has been delivering consistently excellent, locally sourced food to a loyal customer base for over 30 years.
