Urban Baristas acquire former Caffe Nero in The City.

Acting on behalf of the Landlord, we are delighted to announce that Aussie-inspired cafe operator, Urban Baristas, have acquired the former Caffe Nero site at 24 Wormwood Street in The City.

A clever location, literally around the corner from Liverpool Street, in between London Wall and Bishopsgate.

Quoting the team: “We love our coffee and brunch culture and are passionate about spreading this lifestyle to our guests in our own laid-back way.”

“All our dishes at Urban Baristas are inspired by the Australian brunch scene; they are healthy, tasty… and beautiful.”

Urban Baristas was founded in June 2016 by Huw Wardrope and Jono Bowman – two Aussie guys that got tired of the finance industry and the bad chain coffees they were drinking.

Urban Baristas’ journey went from Bondi to Bounds Green with their first site and the aim of serving specialty coffee to the London commuter.

Fast forward and Urban Baristas now operates sites around central London, with a view to opening 30 locations by 2023.

We wish them every success at Wormwood Street, and look forward to seeing them prosper!
